Get Well Wishes

I have a good friend who is suffering through some major pain issues, so I decided to make this card in hopes of cheering her up just a bit. The gems are actually a light pink but they look clear. I just hope she likes it and it puts a smile on her face if only for a second (she is having jaw pain so too much of a smile is not a good thing right now). *Hugs*

Congrats Class of 2012

Well, it is official, My son has now graduated high school! I am SO proud of him, as well as my niece who will graduate on Saturday Night. I am throwing them a party June 9th as they have grown up together being the best of buds so they will get a party together. I worked for hours tonight making this centerpiece but I am quite tickled with how it came out! I bought the cake pattern from Lyndsey's Stamp Stuff and the 2012 Rocks came from Shirley at http://grandmacarol46580.blogspot.com/, along with the tiny 2012 designs that are on the tags. Everything cut like butter and the only thing I wish were different is that I wish the cake pieces had the score lines already included, as it took more time than anything just doing the scoring! Either way I am pleased with the final result and glad I decided to attempt it! *Hugs* and Congrats to all of the Class of 2012 everywhere!!!!

RIP Jonathan Hartman!!!

My youngest son's close friend passed away yesterday in an auto accident. Jonathan was a wonderfully happy, always smiling young man (18). He was due to graduate from high school in less than 2 weeks, but The Lord called him home. He will be sadly missed by many. I wanted to send a sympathy card to the family, but wanted something simple, yet held the message I wanted to convey from myself and my son. As simple as this card is, it gave me all kinds of fits, but I hung in there and finally got it finished. I did straighten out the ribbon prior to putting it in the mail box this morning! *Hugs*

Mother's Day Card

I found this amazing free set of images and paper from Shirley's Cards (http://shirleystemplates.blogspot.com/ ) and I created my Mom's Mother's Day Card from it. I am just loving the colors and the bling! The butterfly is one I made from a stamped embossed image and colored with my water color pen and perfect pearls. I just LOVE the look it gives! I hope mom enjoys it as must as I enjoyed making it! *Hugs* and Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there!
